Category: Postdoctoral Researcher

Department: UC Davis Department of Plant Biology

Position Type: Full-Time

The Zerbe laboratory at the UC Davis Department of Plant Biology is hiring a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher, starting as early as October 1st, 2023. Our group integrates functional genomics and metabolomics with protein biochemical and genetic approaches to investigate and engineer plant terpenoid-metabolic pathways with a focus on their role in plant-environment interactions. The successful candidate has the opportunity to join projects focused on the discovery of stress-defensive terpenoid pathways in food, biofuel, and medicinal plants, as well as the engineering of terpenoid-metabolic enzymes toward industrial applications. Under guidance by the Principal Investigator), the Postdoctoral Researcher will be expected to conduct innovative, active, and collaborative lab research, design and evaluate experiments, develop ideas that advance current research projects, and mentor undergraduate/graduate students and staff.
